Time to move on.

Havvac.com has been up for a couple years now and has had two major re-designs. Content though has been lacking. Originally started by blogging whatever was on my mind, then the fact that coworkers were reading it, I stopped. Since then, it’s mostly been direct links to stuff I like on Twitter and my Instagram feed. I disabled those sources a couple months back and I haven’t regretted it.

I’ve been on a path towards minimalism. Why? Looking for a simpler way of living. Sounds crazy eh? Well I said that to myself at the beginning. Telling myself I could never do it. I’m known as the ultimate geek by several friends. My first step, and might I add crazy, was to sell my Mac Pro and my iPad leaving me only with my iPhone and Apple TV. They were humongous sources of procrastination. Losing from 3-6 hours literally browsing the net, everyday. Never accomplishing anything. I don’t miss them one bit. I’ve been picking up books and actually reading. Doing chores. Getting up at reasonable hours. Feeling better about myself. I’m trying to find a better me and this is where I start.

I’ve been quite busy with this upcoming project and it made me realize something, with the help of Google Analytics, no one visits my website. That being said, I’m shutting it off at the end of May. So long.

Check this out: Push Culture – The Broadway Bomb

This is the unofficial history of the biggest outlaw longboard race in the world; The Broadway Bomb.

Taking place on the world’s most famous boulevard and told by the champions and the organizers who make it happen every year; “Push Culture – The Broadway Bomb” is the story of a small group of 15 outlaw longboard skaters who weren’t satisfied racing in the passive environment of the parks of New York City so they took it to the streets.

Once a year in the fall the craziest longboard skaters in the city would brave the traffic of a busy Manhattan Saturday to see who could get from the Upper West Side at 116th st to the bull statue in the Financial District.

10 years later over 500 outlaw riders show up to ride the concrete wave of Broadway for the ultimate prize: City wide bragging rights as the fastest skater in all of NYC.

Take a look inside the mind of New Yorkers on the edge and the culture of push.
